The Best Natural Skin Care Products For Aging Skin

Read Time:3 Minute, 1 Second

We all know that aging is a process that can not be avoided – in fact, it should be embraced.  But just because we’re a few years older than we used to be doesn’t mean we should suffer its consequences, especially when it comes to our skin.

When buying natural skin care products for aging skin, many products exist out there on the marketplace. Knowing what to look for to find the best product can sometimes be a challenging process.  Here are some key things to look for in any lotion or cream:

Active Ingredients

Active ingredients are those that actually trigger a chemical process within our bodies to produce a desired effect.  So, when you apply lotion to your skin, it’s the active ingredients that are actually doing the job of improving or maintaining your skin.

Inactive ingredients, on the other hand, are those that help the body better process active ingredients.  They pose no other benefit than aiding active ingredients to be better absorbed by the body.

That does not necessarily mean inactive ingredients are bad.  Just make sure that the next product you purchase isn’t disproportionately loaded with inactive ingredients.  Store brands of lotions and creams often contain too many inactive ingredients–in the end, they wind up being a waste of time and money.

Natural Ingredients

Also, when looking for natural skin care products for aging skin, look for natural ingredients in your lotions or skin creams.  Although you wouldn’t necessarily ingest it, you want your creams and lotions to contain ingredients that would be safe enough to ingest–these products are natural with little, if any chemicals that would be harsh on your skin.

Stay away from fragrances in your lotions and skin creams at all costs.  Products containing fragrances have chemicals that have no benefit for skin and could inhibit skin nourishment and regeneration.

If you want to smell good, stick with perfumes or colognes that are sprayed on a small surface area of the body, or better yet, on small areas of clothing.

Collagen and Elastin

Collagen and Elastin are two essential proteins in our skin.  Collagen makes up 75% of skin cells–having an adequate supply of it is crucial to our skin’s health and appearance.  Elastin helps our skin return to its normal position after being stretched or poked.

Cynergy TK helps the body develop abundant amounts of collagen and elastin, as well as another protein called Keratin, which gives skin its structure, but is also found in our hair and nails.

It’s important to notice that collagen and elastin should not be in the product itself–that would have little effect since collagen and elastin have molecules that are too big to be penetrated through the skin.  Rather, it’s important that the body generate it’s own collagen and elastin, that can make its way to all layers of skin.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is the “glue” for the vital collagen and elastin fibers in your skin.  It is essential toward maintaining the skin’s smoothness and elasticity. Without it, skin tends to loose its youthful appearance and other undesired effects occur, such as dark eye circles.

Phytessence Wakame is a powerful preserver of hyaluronic acid in our skin.  It maintains our hyaluronic acid levels by preventing other enzymes from destroying hyaluronic acid.  Phytessence Wakame also contains 15 times more calcium than that found in milk, and is also rich in sodium, iron, potassium, and calcium.

So next time you go shopping for a skin care product, keep these things in mind.
