Avoid Glutathione Deficiency and Stay Younger

Glutathione (also known as GSH) deficiency is a key indicator to our overall state of health. Glutathione complex is a compound produced by the body from three amino acids, namely cysteine, glutamic acid and glycine in the liver.

It is a powerful antioxidant that shields all the cells in the body from harmful effects of scavenging free radicals. It works hard to detoxify destructive compounds in the liver and to boost the immune system in the blood.

GSH is famous for its anti-aging properties. Many other roles are assigned to glutathione complex in the body.

Causes of Glutathione Deficiency

The biggest casualty will be cells that are exposed to the devastating effect of free radicals.The nervous system will also suffer; symptoms such as lack of balance and co-ordination, mental disorders and tremors begin to surface.

The interesting point is that whatever GSH is available to the body, by a process of natural selection, it will first be used for function(s) vital to the body sacrificing other functions.

Thus, immunity being most important, the antioxidant will be marshaled to protect this system; other bodily functions get impaired. As the cells begin to wear down, externally, a person begins to show signs of aging.

Remedy

One way to take care is eat right foods. An alternative is to take a natural glutathione supplement. This way you help the body to cover the shortfall and enhance its capacity to rejuvenate the cells.

GSH can be either taken orally as a food supplement, applied transdermally through the skin in the form of glutathione cream, it can be administered in the form of a glutathione IV, an injection or even inhaled.

It is important to understand that one cannot just go and buy a glutathione supplement and expect to get positive results.

You need to study each type of supplement, consult your doctor, if necessary, before choosing the right glutathione supplement, e.g. whether you should go for glutathione precursors, enhancers or combination treatment.
