The Importance of Your Rift Mage Stats
What are the Mange stats, and which ones do you need to focus your time on?
You need to understand what each stat will bring to your Mange, and which ones are a waste of time. Following this quick guide will give you the basic understanding of there effects, enabling you to make your decisions wisely.
There are 5 main stats in Rift: Dexterity, Wisdom, Intelligence, Strength and Endurance. The fist few that you need to disregard are Dexterity and Strength, these are a complete waste of time with Mage and need to be avoided at all costs.
We will focus on the remaining three. The fist of these we will touch base on is Endurance.
Endurance affects your Mage’s health. The importance of this depends on how you intend to pay the class. The ideal situation would be for your Mage to have minimal amounts of endurance; just enough to battle well and obviously survive. The reasoning being that you could be spending the points in a more effective way, such as Intelligence.
This tactic will stand you in good stead if you plan to progress through the levels but, if you intend to make your way through the game getting involved in rifts or dungeon escapades, It will pay you to bulk-up on the endurance side of things so you don’t get caught out in the health department. The same will apply if you are involved in PvP action and Dungeon monsters, these will all take there toll on your Endurance set.
The next stat is Wisdom. Wisdom will increase your Mana regeneration and also your spell crit. One thing for you keep in mind, do not confuse wisdom with intelligence (pretty obvious really) There is not much to write at this current stage as I have not fully explored this area. I will post more information as I seek it out!
The next stat is the most important stat for Mange, and this stat is Intelligence. To really get ahead fast and effectively, you focus all of your time on getting each piece of gear maximized with Intelligence. This will vastly improve your spell power and also your crit rate, which in turn affects your damage rate. All good things.
You will also come across certain pieces of equipment that contain the stats, Spell power, Focus and Spell crit. I will give you a quick rundown of each to clear things up.
Spell Crit will increase your chances of landing a critical hit and is obviously one of the areas you need to be concentrating on for PvP or Dungeon raids.
Spell Power will do exactly what is says on the tin. With the increase of spell power, your damage infliction will be significantly improved. This works very well when combined with Intelligence. In fact, I would say that this is the most devastating combination
